MH 370 – Wreckage Discovered Off African Coast Might Be Missing Malaysian Plane . ( Photos )

A Plane wreckage, discovered off the coast of the Africa is said to be consistent with the missing Malaysian Plane, flight MH370.
Reports claim that, investigators confirm the debris, which was discovered close to the island of Reunion in the Indian Ocean, is
that of a Boeing 777.
The Malaysia Airlines jet – also a Boeing 777 – is said to have come down in the same ocean on March 8 last year.
CNN reports that Officials at Boeing have assessed photographs of the wreckage and agreed it is consistent with a 777 flaperon,
part of the plane’s wing…
CNN added that there is a “unique element’ to the Boeing 777 flaperon which is apparent in the photographs, although they did not elaborate on what the detail is.
The plane was flying from Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia to Beijing, China, when it is thought to have come down in the Indian Ocean on March 8 last year.There were 239 passengers and crew – most of whom were from China – on board when it disappeared.

Racial Profiling? Snoop Dogg Arrested In Sweden - See What Happened

After playing a show in Sweden Saturday night, Snoop Dogg was pulled over in his car and arrested for suspicion of use of narcotics.

Nigeria has lost one of its lionized traditional rulers, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Sijuwade, who died on Tuesday, 28th of July, 2015.

The traditional ruler reportedly died in the United Kingdom after reports that he was flown out of the country when he slumped in
his hometown on Thursday.

The king emerged as ruler in December, 1980. He was the fiftieth ruler of Ife, a town which is referred to as the origin of the Yorubas.

A quick flick of the dial and “Shakiti bobo” is playing. The worse
thing is that the raucous noise emitted by the artiste is no match
for the loud, odious din coming from the beat. The lyrics are
completely lost – which may not be regrettable to some – but
the whole tumult sounds more like bad static than music.
I tuned the dial again. This time it was Olamide screaming
“VANESSA VANESSA.”
As the last strains of the song died away, the OAP cheerfully and
enthusiastically breaks in, “Yes, that’s for all you listeners out
there. That’s the way we do it right here at your cool station. We
personalise our playlist to make you feel cool.”
Cool kor, cooler ni…. I felt like telling the OAP that his choice of
songs made me feel SICK.
This is simply today’s Nigerian music! Something is terribly
WRONG with it! Yet millions around the country – especially the
young people – listen to it by the hour. WHY?

What is there about this music that is so gripping? How can
something so meaningless hold millions under its spell? Why
does it serve as a common denominator – as “the tie that binds”
– for so many youths?
Judging from how and what they’re saying and singing, it is
easy to conclude that some of these artistes should be taken for
mental evaluation! Music mirrors our emotions; it reflects our
thoughts; it echoes our activities – it shows us the way we really
ARE!
Most Nigerian artistes are confused and bewildered – or they
wouldn’t sing songs about not being able to tell right from
wrong, or songs which purposely don’t say or mean anything, or
which try only to “embody an emotional state that points
indirectly to marijuana and crazy sex positions.”
Music – just like other forms of art – is like a social barometer.
A strong and healthy society produces dynamic and stimulating
music; a diseased and decaying society produces sick and
decadent music.
It’s a simple matter of cause and effect!
This is now a SICK SOCIETY and, therefore, it produces SICK
MUSIC. It’s just that simple! Both parents and the young people
are to blame. My point is, we all don’t have to be a part of this
sick society – or its sick music.
Even talking about today’s gospel songs, many are lacking in
purpose and quality. The gospel singers are forgetting that God
believes in QUALITY. Look at the universe He created! He also
believes in human improvement and GROWTH. “Become ye
therefore perfect” (Matt. 5:48) and “Grow in grace and
knowledge” (II Pet. 3:18), He commands.
God wants His people to grow in the right kind of culture – the
right kind of appreciation for the finer things in life. He says that
mature Christians are “those who by reason of use have their
senses exercised to DISCERN both good and evil” (Heb. 5:14).
God wants us to EXERCISE our five physical senses. He wants
us to learn what the true values for the enjoyment of the senses
are. One of these senses is hearing. And one of the ways we
need to exercise our hearing sense is in the appreciation of
quality music. Quality in music involves, first of all, the way it is
composed or arranged. Secondly, it involves how the music is
performed. And thirdly, the setting (the place and occasion) in
which the music is heard.
You attend a concert only to see artistes with a hodgepodge of
idiotic noise played from a CD and the audience seated at round
tables like they are in a canteen, screaming with mouthful of
small chops and ‘samosas’ as every new song is introduced by
the performer. What utter nonsense! What is WRONG with us?
How did we completely lose our sense of value regarding music?
Do we even know the purpose of music?
A mother justifies her daughter who’s listening to an obscene
song by saying, “If you listen to the words of that one, it’s pretty
rough. But it has a real good beat. My daughter says she
doesn’t pay any attention to the words anyway.” Are we really
that naïve? What erroneous reasoning! Go along with the crowd
– even if the crowd is on the way to suffering, misery, pain,
extinction? Do we think that these songs have no part in the tidal
wave of promiscuity, venereal disease, illegitimate babies that
are all over the country today? If you are one of those who like
today’s Naija music, you ought to honestly and truthfully ask
yourself WHY.

Eleven Generals Pull Out Of Army

Eleven generals of the Nigerian Army Ordinance Corps in Lagos were on Friday pulled out of service.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the officers include eight Major-Generals and three Brigadier-Generals.
The Major-Generals are Manhood Yerima, Abiodun Amao, Olayemi Abidoye, Boniface Azurunwa, Adekunle Martin’s, Christian Ugwu, Bode Ogini and Mashudy Adekanye.
The Brigadier-Generals are Kachallah, Godfrey Nwafor and Gabriel Oladipo.
In a valedictory speech, Maj.-Gen. Manhood Yerima, former Chief of Training and Operations, Defence Headquarters, expressed appreciation for the gesture.
Yerima pledged that the retired officers would continue to keep the Nigerian flag high.
He admonished the serving military personnel to continue to be loyal and be extra-vigilant.
Yerima said, “Your loyalty to the Federal Republic of Nigeria can best be given through vigilance and security consciousness.
“You must continue to demonstrate total commitment to your duty to the nation just as you have exemplified in your recent successes in the fight against terrorism in the north-east.
“The Nigerian people, especially the retirees are expecting a lot from you in the face of the current insurgency.
“Your secondary role is to assist the government in ensuring internal peace and your involvement in internal security duties
demand that all of you be non-partisan.”
He expressed the conviction that the Nigerian military would overcome the current security challenges in the country.
Other retirees also expressed their gratitude to the army and Nigerians for the opportunity to serve the country.
NAN reports that the Chief of Army Staff, Maj.-Gen. Tukur Buratai, was represented at the event by the GOC 81 Division, Nigerian Army, Maj.-Gen. Tamunomiebi Dibi.

‘Deal with the rapists in your military’ – US Senator Leahy Blasts Buhari Over Boko Haram

US Senator Patrick Leahy has reacted to the criticism of the United States by Nigeria’s President Muhammaed Buhari over the
withholding of US’s support from Nigeria in the war against Boko Haram.

During Buhari’s 4-day US trip this week, he had criticized the US law named after Leahy Law (or Leahy Amendment) which prohibits the US Department of State and Department of Defence from providing military assistance to foreign military units that violate human rights with impunity. Buhari said in his speech that the Leahy Law as being
implemented against Nigeria’s military was aiding and abetting the terrorist group, Boko Haram.

Leahy has responded to Buhari’s “unwelcomed” comments saying that neither he nor the law should be blamed for the atrocities being committed by “murderers and rapists in the Nigerian military”. In a statement issued Thursday, July 23, 2015, the US Senator accused Buhari of ignoring facts and failing to clean up the army units
allegedly responsible for grievous crimes.
“It is well documented by the State Department and by respected human rights organisations that Nigerian army personnel have, for many years, engaged in a pattern and practice of gross violations of human rights against the Nigerian people and others, including summary executions of prisoners, indiscriminate attacks against civilians, torture, forced disappearances and rape.
Rarely have the perpetrators been prosecuted or punished.
“This abusive conduct not only violates the laws of war, it creates
fear and loathing among the Nigerian people whose support is necessary to defeat a terrorist group like Boko Haram.

“President Buhari ignores the undisputed fact that most Nigerian army units have been approved, under the Leahy Law, for U.S.
training and equipment. Only those particular units against which there is credible evidence of the most heinous crimes are ineligible
for U.S. aid. And even those units can again become eligible if the Nigerian Government takes effective steps to bring the responsible
individuals to justice.

“I strongly agree with President Buhari about the need to defeat Boko Haram, and I have supported tens of millions of dollars in U.S.
aid to Nigeria for that purpose. But rather than suggest that the United States is at fault for not funding murderers and rapists in the
Nigerian military, he should face up to his own responsibility to effectively counter Boko Haram. He should direct his attention to
the Nigerian military, and the Nigerian courts, and clean up the units implicated in such atrocities,” Leahy said.

Patience Jonathan Humiliated At Port Harcourt Airport (Allegedly) On Buhari’s Orders

Barely  two months after the exit of her husband from office, former First Lady and wife of immediate past president, Dame Patience Jonathan has allegedly suffered ignominy and molestation at the hands of security operatives and aviation officials at the Port Harcourt International airport.

Dame Jonathan,  who was on her way to the burial of her late Chief Security Officer (CSO), Tamuno Jacob Igbomie, a Deputy Superintendent of Police, was on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 prevented from entering the VIP Lounge of the airport, a privilege she had enjoyed in the last 16 years.

The former First Lady arrived Port Harcourt International Airport and made for the VIP lounge as had been the norm and should still
be accorded her given her status in the society. However, she was practically locked out and prevented from accessing the lounge.

An eye witness, who narrated the incident, said that efforts by the former president’s wife and her personal aides to pacify the
security agents at the airport to allow the long known protocol etiquette stand were rebuffed as they stood their ground, insisting that they were acting on orders from Abuja.

New Telegraph further learnt that on  her  return from the burial, the same drama played out, prompting observers to ask if the
presidency could give such a directive against the personality and family of the immediate past president.

The deceased  former CSO to  Patience Jonathan was allegedly shot dead by unknown assailants  about three weeks ago.
Igbomie’s corpse was found in his Honda Accord car along Airport Road, Abuja with all his phones, wallet and other personal effects in the car untouched.

Revolution?

Every country puts her own destiny into her own hands. Nigeria has the human resources to do it. Forget about our natural resources,
we have the ingenuity to be great. We have Nigerians in all fields of human endeavours scattered all over developed countries. A lot of professionals at the zenith of their profession. We can do it ourselves if we try.
What we lack is selfless leaders that would bring us all together and inspire us, solve all grievances, force a referendum, make merit the mainstay instead of favoritism and quota system; and revert the revenue allocation sharing formula to what it was those during the pre-crude oil days.

We need a leader that would make every Nigerian feel that he or she has a stake in our nation. We don’t need leaders that would ask us to sacrifice when they are smiling to their banks with billions of our money in foreign currencies while we suffer.

There is no leader that could do it in the present Nigeria. No country would solve our problems for us. We have to step up and do it
ourselves. We can’t discuss with them on same level if we still go cap in hand begging for aids when our leaders embezzle the whole
of our commonwealth. We have no plan, no strategy, no vision or will to do it. It is shameful!

These countries we go around begging for aids know that we have money. They see how ostentatious our leaders live. They see
politicians bank accounts in their countries. It is like going to your neighbor to borrow N1,000 while driving a Corvette. Which neighborvwould take you seriously?
Few days ago, the world saw the 39-man Nigerian Presidential Delegation to the United State of America, and marveled at why our
country would “allow” such levels of redundancy and waste. It would be scandalous for Americans to see President Obama travel to a foreign country with more than 10 officials.

Girls Catch Woman Sexting Beside Her Husband In Public, Guess What They Did [LOOK]

It’s been a bad week for cheaters.

First up there was the Ashley Madison hack , and now a woman has been outed for apparently sexting another man while at a ball game with her husband.

Ouch.
The woman was outed by two Twitter users – sisters (and expert spies) Brynn and Delana Hinson – who were sitting behind the couple at an Atlanta Braves baseball game on Wednesday.
They claim the woman was sexting a man named Mark Allan, who was suspiciously saved in her phone under the name Nancy.

Naturally, the girls live tweeted the saga, beginning with the message below which has since been retweeted 17,000 times.
Not content with simply calling her out to social media strangers, the sisters decided they had to let her other half know so wrote him a note.
The letter, which can be seen in the top image, reads: ‘Your wife is cheating on you. Look at the messages under Nancy! It’s really a man named Mark Allen. There is pictures on my phone. She has deleted the messages. [Brynn and Delana’s mobile numbers]. Sorry,
just thought you should know!’

Amazingly, the stealth sisters then managed to smuggle the note to the husband as he and his wife left the stadium.
And it seems their work wasn’t in vain. The spurned spouse has since been in touch (see below) and requested the evidence of his
other half’s infidelity.

According to Brynn, the couple have been married for 29 years.
And, speaking to Metro.co.uk, her sister Delana said: ‘After I sent him the pictures we didn’t talk… I don’t think he’s confronted her
yet.
‘I want to ask him but it’s not my place.’
She also confirmed that, from their brief correspondence, he seemed happy that the sisters brought the situation to his attention, saying:
‘He was appreciated [sic] we told him. Probably not so much that it’s on the internet but we never thought it would blow up like this.’

How Boko Haram Plans To Attack ‘VIPs’ – Osinbajo Raises Alarm

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo raised alarm, yesterday, that Boko Haram members were targeting to bomb the houses of VIPs.
This came as governors of Yobe, Ibrahim Gaidem and Borno, Kassim Shetima also stated that the insurgents still occupied five local governments of the two states.
Osinbajo made the disclosure during the National Economic Council, NEC, meeting at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The Vice President, who decried the effect of the insurgency on the economic life of the north east, stated that public enlightenment
needed to be carried out through radio and television to create more awareness.
He also argued that pressure should be mounted on the new service chiefs to stem the rising tide of insurgency in the country.
Meanwhile, there was no specific mention of the location of the VIP’s houses which the insurgents were said to be targeting for
attack.
His concerns were contained in the communique issued at the end of the meeting and made available to newsmen.

According to the communique, “the Vice President regretted that the insurgency has affected the economic life of the north east and the country as a whole. He called for the council to speak as a team to put pressure on the service chiefs to increase their effort in fighting insurgency.
“There should be increase in sensitization and education channels like radio, television. The Vice President also disclosed that security report has it that scavengers are now being prepared by insurgents to dump refuse laden with bombs in the houses of VIPs.
“Governors of Yobe, Borno, Taraba, Kaduna, Gombe, Plateau and Bauchi States took turns to inform the council of security concerns
in those regions,” while “Governors of Yobe and Borno raised the alarm of five local government areas of the two states still being in possession of the insurgents”.
The governors called for increase in military deployment and provision of sophisticated military equipment in those areas, insisting that “insurgents were still hiding in the Sambisa forest.”
While lending his voice, Governor Rauf Aregbesola of Osun State “suggested that special economic angle should be introduced in addition to military intervention to deal with Boko Haram problem.”
On cattle rustling and banditry, NEC stated Governor Nasir el-Rufai of Kaduna State disclosed that most of the cattle rustlers were in Kumuku national part, saying that if not properly handled, it could result to another Sambisa forest.

On CBN intervention funds
Giving updates on intervention funds by the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, to states, NEC said it had “received a presentation from the
CBN governor on the update of restructuring of bank loans for the states and payment of salary arrears.”
According to the communique, “the governor informed the council that following meetings with banks, it was agreed that existing loans
should be restructured for the minimum of 20 years while salary arrears should also be restructured for the minimum of 15 years and
not exceed more than 20 years.”
It added that states could opt for two options which incident “the bond option which will attract market rate and the dent
restructuring option which will attract single digit rate.”
By way of resolution, “Council resolved that a four-man team made up of of the governor of Bauchi, Rivers, Ondo and Osun States are
to follow up with the CBN to ensure that the issues of Excess Crude Collateral for the States are sorted out by next week Tuesday.”

States to cut cost of governance
Briefing State House corespondents at the end of the NEC meeting, Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State, who was flanked by
the governors of Enugu, Plateau and Kebbi States, said NEC also directed states to reduce the cost of governance. He, however, did not give specifics on how that would be done.
He said: “We have just finished the 59th meeting economic council in which a lot of issues were deliberated upon. We resolved that all states should find ways to reduce their cost of governance.
“We do not have a uniform template on how to reduce the cost of governance but is very clear that states in the specific situations will
find different ways and means of ensuring the cost of running governance is not as huge as it has always been.
“So, it is left for the states in their respective situation to find different ways of cutting cost but what is important is that we
cannot continue with the kind of huge burden or huge cost we apply to run our government. A situation where you are having a huge
percentage of your budget as recurrent expenditure is obviously not acceptable. And you must look for ways in reducing the cost of administration in the various states.”

We Are Being Treated Like Prisoners Of War And Refugees – PDP

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has condemned the unlawful detention of their members and loyalists by the current
administration led by General Muhammadu Buhari.
The party’s spokesperson, Chief Olisa Metu, made this disclosure during a meeting with the PDP stakeholders in Lokoja, Kogi state, on
Tuesday, July 21, 2015.
He said, “We condemn the uncivilised method of arrest, intimidation and the denial of the fundamental human rights of members of our
party who served in the last administration by the Buhari-led administration.
“We’re being treated as if we are prisoners of war. We’re being treated like refugees. But we are not afraid, we have faith in our strength & unity; faith in the peace, unity & progress of Nigeria.
We’re not afraid of the intimidation, harassment and arrest of our members by the administration of President Buhari.”
It would be recalled that the former Chief Security Officer of immediate past president Goodluck Jonathan, Gordon Obua was
detained without charges by Nigeria’s secret police also known as the Department of State Security Service. DSS led by Lawal Daura, Buhari’s kinsman from his hometown in Daura, Katsina State.

If we are supposed to seek first the kingdom of God every day (Matthew 6:33), then we should know what the kingdom of God is
in the first place. I used to think that the kingdom of God was the mission fields and that to seek it meant doing missionary work.
Then, I realized that the kingdom of God was not something outside you flowing in—“the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking”, but something inside you flowing out—“righteousness and peace and
joy in the Holy Spirit”.
So to seek first God’s kingdom means to make it a priority everyday to have your inner man flowing with righteousness, peace and
joy in the Holy Spirit.
Righteousness is not your own righteousness based on what you do. It is not good works. It is a gift from Jesus who is your righteousness. (Romans 5:17; 1 Corinthians 1:30) God wants you to be established in the truth that you are the righteousness of God in
Christ. (2 Corinthians 5:21)
“Peace be with you” were the words that Jesus spoke to His disciples when He appeared before them after His resurrection. He also showed them His pierced hands and side. (John 20:19–20)
God wants you to know that His Son’s finished work has given you peace. Your conscience can be at rest because your sin debt has been settled. You have peace with God and the peace of God.
Joy will come into your heart when you see Jesus in the scriptures, worship songs or anointed preaching. It is the same joy from the Holy Spirit which filled the disciples’ hearts when they saw Jesus, His hands and His side. (John 20:20)
So every day, make it a priority to see yourself righteous in Christ.
Don’t be conscious of your sins. Instead, be conscious of your righteousness. And whether you are reading your Bible or listening to anointed preaching, see Jesus with His pierced hands and side, which speak of His finished work. See all your sins forgiven, and you will flow with peace and joy. When you do this, you are seeking the
kingdom of God!

Beware: ISIS, Boko Haram To Begin Using Chickens For Suicide Missions (PHOTOS)

As Nigerians continue to hear the continue to bear the death of hundreds in the hands of Boko Haram insurgence, feelers have it
that the Islamist sect has concluded plans to begin the use of chickens for suicide attacks.

According to reports, the Islamist State (ISIS) terror group has begun using chickens to carry out attacks in Fallujah in the middle
east and environs by strapping explosive belts to chickens, which are left to stray into enemy territory before the bomb is detonated.

A yet to be identified Boko Haram sympathiser took to Facebook to declare support for the ingenuity of the method, threatening to use it against ‘infidels’ in Nigeria.
