Veteran and Award winning actor, Olu Jacobs and his wife Joke silva
have being married for 27years, but one thing so spectacular about this
couple is that, since she was married Joke Silva never changed her name
to Mrs Joke Jacobs.
When asked why In a recent interview Olu Jacobs explains the reason why contrary to most men who insist that their wives change the names after marriage, why he never forced his wife to answer his name.
He said ” She is her own individual, when I met her, she was an actress known as Joke Silva so why should her marrying me, deny her and her audience her name”.
Adding too “She is Miss Joke Silva who is also Mrs Joke Jacobs. It is as simple as that. People now begin to say what they like. They have even written that we were separated and all sort of stuff. When she is working she is Joke Silva but she is Mrs Joke Jacobs at home.
